Although ‘The Firework Shop' has only been on its current site for the last year or so, owner/manager Khun La-on is no stranger to fireworks. In fact, Khun La-on's name graced the first-ever licence given to a fully dedicated firework shop on the island of Samui !
Khun La-on has a long-standing reputation built on Safety, Quality, and Service : which is why ‘The Firework Shop' is the premier provider of fireworks and displays for many of the island's most popular resorts and Events Organisers (including Local Government events, Weddings, and Party Organisers). ‘The Firework Shop' also gives the opportunity for private individuals and holiday-makers to experience a fantastic firework event of their very own! By arrangement, we can even deliver and shoot them for you, using staff from our own trained team of ‘shooters'.
Khun La-on's attitude to her business is under-pinned by the strong Buddhist ethic of ‘Tam dee – dye dee' (‘Do good – get good'), and this is reflected not only in the high quality of service she delivers, but also in her approach to firework safety. This attitude – together with her English husband's paranoia about firework safety (he remembers those old T.V. adverts showing kids with firework burns on the run-up to Bonfire Night each year!) - ensures not only quality products, but also expertise and a service that is second-to-none !
Whilst fireworks are great fun – to both shoot AND watch – Khun La-on takes her responsibility to her customers (both regular and new) very seriously, and makes no bones about just how dangerous fireworks can be if they are stored, handled and/or fired incorrectly.
With this in mind, every customer - no matter how much they spend - is given a sheet of ‘Safety Instructions', as well as personal advice on how to shoot their fireworks safely and correctly.
